The hills are alive with the sound of...falling snow!!

Hello everyone well what a wonderful day we have had today the sound of music tour was absolutely great and the salt mine tour was also excellent, there were 5 other Australians on the tour and it was great to talk in our native tounge for at least a little while, we had stacks and stacks of snow today as you will see in the pictures, it is around 7.30pm here and Sam is asleep in bed exhausted after dancing and singing her way through Salzburg, the temperature was around -10 today and i am very glad i bought a good jacket!

Tomorrow we go exploring Salzburg and visiting some famous sites, i know that sam wants to post a blog on todays events but im afraid you are all going to have to wait until our little leisel wakes up tomorrow to share her thoughts

Hello to you Andreas we miss you already!!

  1. Hello! Technical difficulties yesterday - the blog refused to publish our comments yesterday...... Just adore the pictures of you guys in the snow - so love the shaking the tree one! Just add another minus 10 or so and you can put yourself in my place next year! I'm in Bathurst and T is home walking Meeks as we speak. No doubt she will write when she gets in.

  2. Hey - looks like I am slow off the marx... tee hee. Alex has already posted stuff. I love that the horses are wearing the loin jackets and ear protectors. You have no idea how much difference this makes to them. So - Ralfie - was it cold dumping that snow on your head. And Sammy - your jacket looks wonderful - you are really getting some nice use out of it. All is good back home.

  6. Don't worry Peeps - you will warm up in Rome. Today it'll be a min of 4 degrees - but the rest of the week it'll be 14 to about 19 degrees. You'll have to ask the concierge for an umbrella though - it'll be raining most of the week!

  9. You make such a beautiful Liesel! Love the pics. Wow heaps of snow, never experienced colder than -9C. Abbie had a wonderful apt with Meg, she wants to see her regularly (weekly or fortnightly in the New Year to get her speech going). She was trying so hard to speak to the stage of getting frustrated. It was so encouraging for Pete and I we had tears in our eyes with happiness! She found some Chrissie presents and opened them today.. oops. Keep enjoying your wonderful adventure. Love you and big kiss and cuddle from Abbie to her best teacher ever!!! xoxo
