Dear Ralfy and BB, Well finally I have worked out how to comment, stupid thing!!! For some reason I was dropped off the members list of your original blog and it has now taken me 4 days and several failed attepts of comments, to fix it up!
How nice was the upgrade to business for the first leg of your journey, lucky things. Pity it wasn't all the way to London, but I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that it happens again for your journey home!
Glad to see you enjoyed your couple of days in Singapore, even if the weather was ever so hot and steamy!
Hope the weather is more to your liking in Bonnie Scotland and you are both enjoying sharing this weekends sightseeing with your cousin and his wife.
The photos are great and really make us feel that we are sharing this wonderful journey with you. I will however tell Gerv to make sure Rufus doesn't see any photos on the blog with Mini Meco, as I am sure he will have his nose put out of joint for not having a Mini Rufus going along for the ride too!!!
By all accounts the painting is coming along nicely and Gerv seems to be coping with single life!!
I am just waiting for the sunshine that we had last weekend to make it's way down to here! This week has been so cold and wet, I am soooo over winter. It looks like we might be lucky with a week of sunshine next week. I hope so as I really want to get out in the garden and start doing a pre spring tidy up!
Have a wonderful night at the Tattoo. Look forward to seeing more of your beautiful photos.
So exciting looking at all of your photos and reading about your incredible journey thus far.
I created this account at school yesterday, as the kids (and us!) are very excited to see what you're up to and thought that this would be the easiest way for any and all of them to comment... I'm sure you'll get a bunch of comments from them next week :)
Love the photo's. Isn't the castle just so glorious. One of our fave places was those big wooden doors spiked with all that defensive metal. It makes you feel so small as you walk through.
We know all about the walking (hence the great hiking boots we take everywhere!) The cobblestones can be precarious in places - but it is just fascinating to see.
Hope you tried Heather Ale at the pub!
So - on the list of treasure hunt is Stirling Castle - so maybe a key ring. It is also one our first - porche rent a car photos (again crow featured highly here). And then the Recommendations are - there is a cemetery just outside the castle - is goes on forever and is just an extra-ordinary place - well worth the wander and photos of the pines and monuments and searching for the oldest of headstones.
Hope the Tattoo was everything and more gang! Sammy - we know that you will be smiling from ear to ear.
Well - we are back again. We decided to try for an early walk along the beach front. When we got there it was a bit breezy and massive black clouds were coming in. So - it ended up way tooo cold for Alex and we have headed back. And just in the nick of time! Massive storm front, a little thunder and now heaps of rain. Our sunday will be spent indoors methinks!
Your adventures on high street sound fabulous! I remember loving finding treasures hidden in aisles and small shops. Oh - and if you are nearer the castle there are a few working looms that show you the whole process of making the fabric for the tartans if you haven't checked them out already.
Oh - and if you haven't had them yet - we both loved the scones and clotted cream that we had around there. You know how much we don't really like cream - well - it was absolutely incredible.
The adventures of the Tattoo sounded amazing and fabulous and everything that it should have been (and more!!!).. Can't wait to hear more!! Hope you wake up in time to go pick up your car! Adventures await you!!! So at least you can do a little more driving for a couple of days - take the weight of your feet - I hear that you both have walked miles and miles and miles!!
Well we are off on our second adventure trip and would love you to join us as we explore the UK and the beautiful countryside of Tuscany.
We look forward to sharing it with you and reading your comments. Ralf and Sandra
Trying to comment without much success!! Test 1,2,3,4,5,6,7!!!!
