Wei Wei Parie

Hi Guys from sunny Paris we caught the Eurostar this morning and had a nice 2 1/2 hour journey into France, no hassles as the tour company we are with are very organised and everything is going like clockwork, we took a short bus tour of Paris before settling into our hotel which is the Pullman Hotel located in Saint De Million on the banks of the Seine, Sam reckons it must be a good hotel as there are pilots staying here??? she must know something i dont???
We opted out of a Paris by night tour tonight as we preffered to catch up on some sleep and we are on a tour tomorrow night that should show us it anyway, tomorrow we visit the Palace of Versaille and the Louvre before we have dinner at the Eiffel Tower and a Seine cruise followed by the famous Moulin Rouge show, not many photos just yet but you may recognise one of the landmarks!!
Till next time we meet love to you all Ralf, Sam, and MM xxxxx

  2. Nice to see you both again!

Hey there Sim Sam & Ralfy!

Well - the photo's of you in Paris look delightful! As you know we were there for the change of season - but this looks wonderful - nice and toasty warm! Can't wait for it to warm up here!

So glad that you had a great trip over on the train. I love trains and this was one of the highlights of my trip! Just the train travel!

And how cosmopolitan were you guys to go shopping! Great job! Yes - it can be a little daunting - but seriously once they know you aren't English - they really are great to talk to. It helps that I know a bit of French too. Sammy - you just have to go into any one of those beautiful little shops/bakeries that sell the patisseries. Each one is an art work within itself - but the all have very subtle flavours and are so tiny that they are wonderful to have with coffee!

Well - my day is being spent on writing up some research and also writing my job app. Well - lets say I am consulting on my job app - ah the joys of having a wife who writes well and knows how to put a great job app together!

    Lots of love

  3. Hey Ralfy & Sim Sam!

I heard that you had another big day planned! It is no wonder that we haven't heard from you today. I bet you are tucked up in your bed fast asleep!

Well - my job app is in and I am so looking forward to the weekend!

Hey - had a wonderful lamb roast last night with heaps of different veges and cauliflower and white sauce. Simply wonderful. Took a nice big plate over to Gerv so that he had some good home cooking in his tummy.

Finally tomorrow I will get to see the place. Going to take a wander over now that I am germ free! Trish tells me the gates look beautiful and the gutters have been a labour of love and that Gerv is so very talented and hard working.

You should see the work that she has done on our outdoor furniture - it looks very special. She just has about 5 chairs left that only need one or two more coats - then I think she has her eye on the big table and the two bench seats - but I can see them taking a couple of weeks as they have to be rubbed back.

Well - time for me to go - have a wonderful time there.

    See you soon.

    Love
    Alex
